END OF MATCH

In a controlled game, without scares or suffering, with a goal in each half, South Korea beat Hong Kong 2-0 and now has six points in the East Asian Cup, beating their rival with goals from Sang-Yun and Ho-jae!

45' Added time

We'll have four more minutes of added time in the match. And once again, South Korea had a corner kick, which the defense cleared. Despite being 2-0 up, Hong Kong's defense managed to prevent any major threats from Korea's high-flying play.

40' Yellow card

Hong Kong made two changes to the match at the end, replacing Orr and Juninho with SP Chan and Medeiros. Shortly after, Sun received a yellow card for a heavy foul in the attacking half, curiously enough, his first of the game.

35' OUT

South Korea made another change in the match, replacing Na with Jeong. Jeong, on his first attempt, received the pass in the box and shot hard, but sent the ball over the goal, missing the chance to extend the lead!

30' Yapp!

Both teams made further changes. Hong Kong replaced Udebuluzor with Lau. Korea replaced S. Moon with Bong-Soo. Soon after, Na received the pass up front and fired a powerful shot that Yapp saved, sending it out for a corner, which Hong Kong's defense cleared.

25' GOAL FOR SOUTH KOREA

And Hong Kong tried to get back into the game. It tried. Because in another well-worked play, Moon found the pass to Ho-jae, who finished to extend the lead and give South Korea even more peace of mind, leading 2-0!

20' Changes in both teams

The two teams make changes once again, each with a substitution. In South Korea, Lee is replaced by JK Kim. In Hong Kong, C. Tan is replaced by C. Ngan, as the Hong Kong team looks to get back into the game!

15' Corner

Korea continues to press high and, again from the left, wins a corner, which the defense clears once again. Korea continues to dominate the game without suffering any scares, against a Hong Kong side that appears fragile on the field.

10' Both teams changes

Ho-jae received the pass up front and shot powerfully, but over the bar. This confirms that both teams made changes at halftime. In Korea, Kim and Cho were replaced by Moon and Mo. And in Hong Kong, Fernando was replaced by Wong.

5' Corner

South Korea returns for the second half, pressing high and trying to extend their lead. Early on, they even win a corner, which they take into the box, but the defense clears it away, where Korea maintains possession.

SECOND HALF STARTS

The players return to the field and the ball is already rolling for the second half of the match between Hong Kong and South Korea, in this second round of the East Asian Cup, with all the action and excitement in real time here on VAVEL!

END OF FIRST HALF

We've reached the end of a weak first half, where South Korea dominated much of the match and turned that dominance into a goal, with Sang-Yun, to go into halftime with a 1-0 lead over Hong Kong in this second round of the East Asian Cup!

40' Blocked

And so we're reaching the end of the first half, after a first half that was lackluster, aside from the goal and a blocked shot by Na, which wasn't dangerous at all, but with numerous fouls. There were eight fouls in total, with five from Korea and three from Hong Kong.

35' South Korea domain

After a slight moment of pressure from Hong Kong, South Korea regained possession in the attacking half and exchanged passes calmly, dominating the match without suffering any scares or even shots.

30' Here comes Hong Kong

After the first goal, Hong Kong launched an attack, trying to threaten the South Korean defense, but failed to control possession and ran into a tight defense that prevented the danger from reaching the attacking half.

25' GOAL FOR SOUTH KOREA

And in the first high-stakes play of the game, South Korea opened the scoring at home against Hong Kong! Seo's play found Sang-Yun, who controlled the ball and fired it into the back of the net, putting South Korea ahead!

20' Korea domain again

South Korea once again maintained possession of the ball, exchanging passes and trying to create danger in the attacking half, but without finishing in the final minutes, but still managing to maintain possession and putting pressure on Hong Kong.

15' Balanced game

We continue in a slow-paced match with little happening. Hong Kong manages to hold the match, avoiding the pressure from South Korea, but unable to loosen up enough to attack, in a slow-paced game so far.

10' Korea domain

The game remains slow, with neither team creating much so far, and with little excitement. South Korea continues to maintain possession early on, while Hong Kong hunkers down defensively, avoiding the sort of chances they suffered against Japan.

5' Slow start

We have a slow start to the game in South Korea, where both teams try to create danger, but still without success, in a tense start to the game, despite South Korea's slight dominance in possession, exchanging passes.
